FinTech North is to return next year; with Leeds to once again host the second edition of new event that was inaugurated earlier this year. Following the success of this year’s event, plans are now well underway for the next event, which will take place on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017. White Label Crowdfunding are delighted to be collaborating with Whitecap and AQL to host what is sure to be a very successful occasion.

Scheduled to coincide with Leeds Digital Festival week, the event will see members of the financial services and financial technology sector convene at AQL, Salem Church. Keynote speakers have been invited to share their expertise and encourage discussion on various topics related to the field; ranging from innovation and alternative finance, to digital identity and machine learning. Proposed topics for the full-day event include “Building an Ecosystem that Drives Innovation”, “High-Performance Computing” and “The Future of Policy in FinTech”. The presentations will be interspersed with coffee breaks, panel discussions and interactive sessions, and the day is scheduled to conclude with a drinks reception. These more informal parts of the day give attendees the opportunity to network and interact among themselves.

Various representatives from both White Label Crowdfunding and sister company rebuildingsociety.com will be present at the event, working towards the common goal of raising awareness of the FinTech industry in the north, exchanging knowledge and placing the Leeds City Region firmly on the FinTech map.

Founder and Managing Director of rebuildingsociety.com and White Label Crowdfunding, Daniel Rajkumar, commented on the collaboration that the event prompts: “FinTech North is where the traditional finance industry meets financial innovations from across northern Europe. We’re always excited to learn about the latest in regulation technology, digital currencies and peer-to-peer lending.

This year, some 200 delegates attended, travelling to the event from all over Europe. Next year, organisers are hoping to double that figure, and welcome 400 guests. The event is the result of a mutual desire and dedication of those involved to, as Julian Wells, Director of Whitecap Consulting, says, “increase the profile, capability and economic value of FinTech in the region.
